Swaps on hold

well, all swaps have been put on hold until the new year. My surgery has been postponed until...who knows when.

I am trying not to get involved in to many swaps....but, I am and I did...In Nov I'm doing the junque charm swap...perfect for me...i've never made one so this is a learning experience. The cookie tag exchange....my favorite cookie.....Sweet & Salty Oatmeal Crisps....yum....ALso doing a mini swap with Lianne from the UK.....can't wait to see what she makes for me....will post some pics of the mini I'm doing for her. Lianne suffers from Fibro as well so we have a bit in common apart from scrapping.

Not much else going on in my little corner of the world.

Life........

Wow, as i look at this last post, it has been almost 2 1/2 months since I have been on my blog. Bad, bad blogger....

Life has been rather exciting and fun. I am hosting a couple of swaps at " The Scrap Beach". We have a monthly handmade flower swap and , let me tell you, the flowers these girls make are scrumdiddlyumptious. I also have added a pin swap to the mix and these are gorgeous as well. These gals come up with some ingenious items to imcorporate into their pins.

I also swap charms with Cindy...she puts us in groups of 8 and the charms have been so very pretty. Look forward to that swap evey month.

JoAnn Mckenzie has also got a swap together for charms. This will be the first month for this swap.

Eve Louw is hosting a swap of tag images. Can't wait to see what I get back from that. That would save on buying all the stamps I want...hehhehehe. You send in 2 sets of 10 tags stamped with 2 different stamps and Eve will swap them out and send back. Eve is in Ireland!!!

Life at the scrap beach

I have found a great forum that never fails to excite me everyday. We are a group of ladies that love to make minis and swap everything. AND, if you need or want something, there is usually someone there who will share it with you. They are loving, sharing artists from all over the globe.

And for fun....we have an ATC swap going on monthly, a 6 X 6 paper and goodies swap monthly, just paper 6X6 swap monthly, handmade flowers monthly. and soon all the mini swaps will start back up. Ohhhh, I forgot the tag swap.

There is also a place to sell or trade your supplies if you want.

It's a great place to be able to come to and relax and chat...lot of that going on!!!lol

And, we also have a virtual crop each month. Haven't been able to get to that yet, but, hope to participate in the next one. They have some really good prizes!!!

Made a lot of wonderful friends on the board......fun, fun, fun.

OOHHH BAD BLOGGER

OMG....I don't believe it has been so long since I have blogged. Health problems....too many to go into...lol....BUT, I did play this weekend over at COCOA DAISY. They had a Spring crop and let me tell you those girls had some great challenges. I will be posting the 6 that I completed tomorrow. So until then...adios

SCRAPPERIE CROP MARCH 19-21

WOWZA......there is going to be one HECK of a CROP over at SCRAPPERIE in March!!!!I know that there will be BINGO for sure 'cause I'm hosting it and there will be a GREAT PRIZE. I don't know the time that it will start.......Still working out the details. So keep your eyes peeled because it is going to be a HOOT!!!

Scrapperie Color Team Challenge

Wow....bad blogger.....BUT, I did get my color challenge done on time....YEAH ME!!!!

Stacey has offered up some awesome color challenges for the month of FEB and for the 26th...it was "I'm In The Mood For Love"......Chocolate Brown, Misty Teal, pretty pink and spicy red. YUMMY COLORS!!!!And here is my take on it.........

SIMPLE DOODLE #2 card

AND.......Here is my second card . This bear is simply adorable. I colored him with copics and blinged his nose and his heart! Added some cute buttons with strings tied to them. Stamped SWAK with another of my $1 finds at Michaels.

SIMPLE DOODLES Feb Guest Designer

Yes, it's true......here is my first card using one of Traci's wonderful digital stamps. I cut out the design after I colored it with copics....pop dotted it and applied it to the striped paper, added a red ribbon, red glitter to the cherry, and stamped "I Love You" with one of my $1 wooden stamps from Michaels.

Color Team Challenge "TRES CHIC GIRLS"

This layout was created for "Scrapperie"....Color challenge. Color challenges are hard for me...but, I think this one turned out OK. Especially since it has my favorite subject as the focal point.

This "Tres Chic Girl" color challenge team is going to make me think outside my comfort zone...and, that is good.


The next color challenge is due next week and I am excited about it. Will post it here when I figure out how to do that....lol

TRES CHIC GIRL-----AND I'm not even French!!!!

WOW....what a thrilling day this has been. I am now a "TRES CHIC GIRL" on the NEW "SCRAPPERIE" team. Sandy has discontinued her store and is concentrating her efforts on the challenge board. She has chosen 7 teams with several gals on each team. I don't have all the details yet...but, this is going to be a fun place to be. I am on the "Color Challenge " team....so looking forward to seeing what she has in mind.

Caardvarks Sketch Contest

There is a very cute card sketch by Pagemaps on Caardvarks to give you a jump start on your card. AND...OOOOHHH those girls have been really playing over there...over 50!!!!!!So I thought I would throw my little card in for the heck of it....they are really fantastic cardmakers!!!!AND THERE IS A PRIZE from Just Rite Stamps....very nice!

Simple Doodles.....I HEART YOU contest

Wow, can't believe that I got this one done already. This fabulous heart is on the SIMPLE DOODLES blog spot and it is a "FREEBIE".......Run over there and get it for your collection. I printed it on Bazzill cardstock, embossed some lips on the heart with transparent embossing powder. The "kisses" stamp is one I have had for a couple of years and I used a red ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then added some red and white paper that I found in my scraps, some red velvet ric rac and 3 precious little red lip brads that I have had for EONS!!!!Turned out OK...not sure about this one. But hey I gotter done!!!lol

I am still pinching myself to see if this is true....lol...but, I gotta agree ...this card really turned out cute. Thanks to Simple Doodles for their cute digital stamps. Let me tell you this is my first digital card. In fact, I am not really a card maker at all...but....now...how can I resist???This was so much fun that I think I am hooked....already thinking of the January challenge at Simple Doodles......Create anything with a heart and they have a free heart digi stamp on their website.
